Marie Therese Guirgis

Marie Therese Guirgis is Head of Production and Development at RatPac Documentary Films, the documentary arm of RatPac Entertainment. Since joining RatPac in 2014, Marie Therese has developed and overseen production of such films as Night Will Fall by André Singer, Electric Boogaloo by Mark Hartley, Chuck Norris VS Communism by Ilinca Calugareanu, The 100 Years Show by Alison Klayman, and Author: The JT LeRoy Story by Jeff Feuerzeig.

Prior to joining RatPac Marie Therese produced critically acclaimed, award-winning feature films and documentaries and worked for many years in film distribution. She was SVP, Distribution and Acquisitions at Wellspring, a director-driven independent distributor sold to The Weinstein Company in 2006. At Wellspring, Marie Therese acquired over 400 titles and launched the company’s theatrical releasing initiative.

Her previous producing credits include Ira Sachs’ Keep The Lights On, Julia Loktev’s The Loneliest Planet, Jonathan Caouette’s Tarnation, and Rupert Murray’s Unknown White Male.

Marie Therese has a B.A. from Vassar College and an M.A. in Film Studies from The University of Iowa.
