RatPac Entertainment and Def Pictures have sold an untitled feature film pitch from Steve Lemme to Lionsgate Films. Lemme, an actor and writer who is a founding member of the Broken Lizard comedy group, will script a throwback comedy that pays homage to the 90’s hip-hop scene and centers around two rival breakdancing crews preparing for a dance-off in their home town 20 years after their original battle. The idea came about when Lemme realized so many A-list actors were breakdancers prior to breaking into Hollywood. Brett Ratner and John Cheng will be producing for RatPac Entertainment and Russell Simmons and Jake Stein will produce for Def Pictures. Ben Feign will serves as an Executive Producer. Erik Feig and Geoff Shaevitz will oversee for Lionsgate. Lemme’s screen credits include the Broken Lizard comedies Super Troopers and Beerfest, with Super Troopers 2 now in production. He is repped by CAA.
