RatPac Entertainment is a global media and entertainment company formed by seasoned internet, media and resort investor James Packer and highly regarded Hollywood producer and director, Brett Ratner, whose motion pictures have grossed in excess of $2B.  Since inception, RatPac has co-financed over 50 theatrically released motion pictures exceeding $10B in worldwide box office receipts.  

RatPac’s co-financed films have been nominated for 51 Academy Awards, 39 BAFTAs, 20 Golden Globes, 5 Emmys, and 8 Australian Academy Awards and have won 21 Academy Awards, 17 BAFTAs, 7 Golden Globes and 3 Australian Academy Awards. In 2013, RatPac partnered with Dune Entertainment on a multi-year motion picture co-financing arrangement with Warner Bros. for up to 75 pictures.  RatPac has also partnered with New Regency on numerous films including the Academy Award Winning Birdman and The Revenant and the upcoming Ubisoft-inspired Assassin’s Creed, as well as the first-look arrangement with Brad Pitt’s production house Plan B.

RatPac was recently involved in the Robert Redford and Cate Blanchett starring Truth, the Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen starring Hank Williams’ biopic I Saw the Light and the upcoming Rules Don’t Apply, written, directed, produced and starring Academy Award Winner Warren Beatty.  A chilling psychological thriller True Crimes, starring Jim Carrey, is currently in post-production. RatPac Television launched last year and the division has set up several shows with various networks and cable providers, including WBTV, Fox Networks, ABC, CBS, UCP, Amazon, and Netflix.

Through its RatPac Documentary Films label, RatPac develops and finances a number of award winning feature length theatrical documentaries and shorts, including the Peabody Award winning and Emmy nominated Holocaust documentary Night Will Fall, the soon to be released Author: The JT LeRoy Story, as well as Before The Flood featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, which chronicles his campaign to raise global awareness about the dangers of climate change in his role as a UN Ambassador of Peace.

RatPac devotes substantial efforts and resources to the expanding Chinese media market, producing and co-financing properties aimed at local Chinese audiences.  RatPac has partnerships with Warner Bros. and China Media Capital in a Chinese Capital Fund, an investment platform positioned and exclusively focused on capitalizing on the growth of media, entertainment and related industries targeted at the Chinese consumer, as well as a separate Chinese Creative Fund dedicated to identifying, producing, financing and capitalizing upon Chinese language content in film, television, digital and live entertainment.
